G'day Pardner! As the appointed Sheriff of Espacio, ya gotta do what it takes to help and protect the townsfolk. Use y'er Loopin' Lasso to help herd runaway bulls, catch pesky vermins or ███████████! Now, git goin'!
Sheriff Looper is a short horror-themed action adventure game with looping mechanics (similar to games like Pokémon Ranger). The game takes about 30 minutes to complete in one sitting.

dev note: howdy everyone! this is the last game of 2025! been itching to make a pixel art game so this definitely scratched that! this was built upon one of my game jam games and i decided to expand it into a full game.

this was a fun game but because of my own skill issues i got frustrated xD the end plot twist was unexpected and now I'm wondering if were getting a sequel

This is impressive.
There is a potential for a fully realized game here for cozy horror.
One part is the slice of life aspect of being the sheriff of a small, close-knit town. The second could be the slow-burn horror creeping in.
Did you think of expanding the game to about 4-5 hours?

Game was awesome to play beginning through end, I have some frustrating moments during the gameplay but that is just due to my skill issue. Overall I enjoy the story and the music in this game including the style of the game.

In the tutorial, you can lasso the barrels before your father tells you to, and if you do, the game gets stuck on the part where he tells you to lasso the barrels
oh dang, do u mind sharing your screen resolution? gameplays ive seen didnt have that issue so far

Was starting to believe I had accidentally downloaded a nice and wholesome game... until the incident.
Really good game, nice gimmick to it despite my inability to get good at said gimmick, and a nice wholesome pixel art style to lure you in.
